“Dedication” has a double meaning- not only does it represent the commitment myself and other musicians put towards their art, but it also honors those who have helped me become the musician and person I am today. While composing this piece, I reflected on the many ups and downs I have gone through during the 2020 pandemic. Staying dedicated to your craft may not be easy, but it is so fulfilling to see how persistence shapes your life for the better. Music has been this anchor for me during the pandemic, but I would not be the musician I am today without the friends, family, and mentors that have guided me, and that is why this piece is dedicated to them.
